Sample grant proposal for the American Conservatory Theater. July 2010. (PDF Link)
This grant proposal was written in preparation for an interview for a grant writing position with the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, CA. Although I had no prior experience in grant writing, I researched the specifics of the grant writing process and prepared this grant sample as part of my job application. The hypothetical proposal centered around a plan to create and implement a drama program at James Denman Middle School, a middle school in San Francisco’s Excelsior District. The proposal supplied a timeline, a budget, and all justification for the drama program project, and it represents my ability to quickly and efficiently learn a new style of writing, something on which I pride myself.
